E.H. Bernstein's New Book "A Book about Books, Volume II of III" Discusses What Nonfiction Books and Subjects the Author Believes Are Important to Know About
Recent release "A Book about Books, Volume II of III" from Page Publishing by author E.H. Bernstein attempts to share what the author has learned from 50 years of nonfiction reading and to provide the reader with samples of the most important authors and subjects from that reading. While the book is based on research, it is intended to be a handbook or guide by trying to make that research understandable to the general reader and to students, and as a guide for teachers--by pointing to what the author believes is missing from today's college education.
NEW YORK, July 17, 2020 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- E.H. Bernstein is a former librarian turned author. The subtitle of the book describes the author's objective: "A handbook in three volumes to a choice of essential books, writers and subjects in order to understand the world we live in, about 'big questions' and possible answers, about books and writers that may improve people's lives, about neglected writers, and other books and subjects." The back cover adds the following comments about the book and the author's reason for writing it:
This book tries to point to problems in how we live and to see if books have any answers. The author believes we should listen to many voices, so the book draws on writers from various times and various places. The book is not just about books, since other sources are also mentioned.
Note about how the volumes are related: each chapter is on a separate subject. So the chapters can be read individually, but the full message requires reading all the volumes. Volume I is important, but preliminary to the more important Volumes II and III. A future website, bookaboutbooks.com. will discuss additional subjects not in the books. The website should be available soon and will be updated in the future to add additional content. All the content on the website can be read for free. To college teachers: see link on future website to a curriculum proposal about how to use the two volumes of the book that have been published so far as well as the present and future content on the website.
Volumes I and II of "A Book About Books" are published by Page Publishing. Readers who wish to read "A Book about Books: Volume II of III" and the previous volume can purchase the books at bookstores everywhere, or online at the Apple iTunes store, Amazon, Google Play, or Barnes and Noble. The book is available as a softcover book and as an ebook.
