East Hampton, CT (PRWEB) January 30, 2014 -- East Hampton Public Library (East Hampton, CT), in partnership with RBdigital from Recorded Books (Prince Frederick, MD), is pleased to announce the availability of four electronic resources: OneClickdigital, IndieFlix, Transparent Language Online and ePrep.
OneClickdigital provides East Hampton Public Library patrons free access to eAudio and eBooks at home, in the library, or anywhere with Internet access. Many titles are multi-access, so multiple users can check out a given title at the same time, eliminating holds. OneClickdigital is compatible with all popular listening devices, and mobile apps are available for the iPhone, Android, and Kindle Fire. OneClickdigital features an easy-to-use interface with streamlined navigation, fast downloads and automatic software updates. Live toll-free technical support is available at 1-877-77AUDIO.
Through the library’s website and IndieFlix, patrons will also have unlimited access to thousands of streaming film-festival hits, including the best of Sundance, Cannes, Tribeca, and more. IndieFlix is available on Apple®, Android™, and all Internet-enabled devices. Patrons can also watch films on TV with their Roku devices.
“What’s not to love about IndieFlix?” said Sue Berescik, East Hampton Public Library Director. “This premiere streaming service showcases indie films from around the world with no holds, checkouts, returns or waiting. We couldn’t be more pleased with this unique service that fits so well in our library’s digital services toolkit.”
With Transparent Language Online, East Hampton Public Library patrons will have unlimited access to more than 80 online language courses, packed with pronunciation, speech, grammar, writing and vocabulary-building lessons. Patrons have the ability to write or speak their answers, practice pronunciation by slowing down the on-screen examples, and converse with native speakers though interactive videos. Transparent Language Online delivers all language-learning materials online with no additional media, such as CDs, flash drives, or DVDs. Patrons can learn on their own time, at their own pace in the library, in the comfort of their own home, or on the go with Byki Mobile for the iPhone® and Android™.
ePrep for Libraries also provides patrons unlimited access to online test-preparation courses through engaging, on-demand video lessons that replicate the private tutor experience . ePrep successfully uses expert instruction to deliver a student-adaptable learning experience that patrons can access at the library or remotely from home or school. This partnership offers patrons the opportunity to improve SAT, ACT, PSAT, SSAT and PLAN scores without paying the excessive fees associated with private tutoring or classroom courses.
“RBdigital’s services extend our library’s reach and deliver direct economic and convenience benefits to our patrons,” continued Berescik. “ePrep and Transparent Language Online allow learners to set their own pace and learn at times that suit their schedules. Both tools also feature a media-rich approach that’s so important to contemporary students.”
