March 28 is the earliest Easter since 2016 — early enough to take the holiday on snow or on sand. The company has opened spring allocations across Turks & Caicos, Los Cabos, the Dominican Republic and the French Alps on the exact six-month mark.
MIAMI, Sept. 29, 2026 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Easter Sunday 2027 falls on March 28, the earliest it has landed since 2016 and the earliest it will land again until 2035. Haute Retreats, the luxury villa and concierge company representing more than 2,400 villas, mansions and private estates across 83-plus destinations, has opened its spring 2027 allocations today — six months to the day before the holiday, and on the reading that a market which books Christmas half a year out will book March the same way.
Easter 2027 in brief: Easter Sunday falls on Sunday, March 28, 2027 — the earliest since 2016. Haute Retreats opened its spring allocations on September 28, 2026, exactly six months ahead, across Turks & Caicos, Los Cabos, the Dominican Republic and the French Alps. The company's Caribbean festive weeks now book six to eight months in advance, and Easter and spring break draw the same households.
An Easter early enough to ski
The date is not a detail. In most years Easter arrives after the alpine season has begun to close; in 2027 it lands in the last days of March, inside the ski calendar rather than beyond it. The holiday has not fallen this early in eleven years, and it will not fall this early again for another eight.
The practical consequence is that spring 2027 offers the same holiday in two climates. Across the company's French Alps chalets — led by Courchevel 1850 in Les Trois Vallées, alongside Val d'Isère and Méribel — the catered chalets that would normally be winding down are still in full season over the Easter weeks, with resident teams absorbing lift passes, instructors and equipment before any of it reaches the guest. For the first time in a decade, a household choosing where to spend Easter is choosing a temperature rather than a season.
Why the release opens six months out
The timing follows the season the market has just been through. Data presented at Virtuoso Travel Week on August 27 puts festive-season bookings up 65% and sales up 56% across the network's advisors, with production on trips of $100,000 and above up 49% and future leisure bookings placed one to two years out up 50%. The autumn behaved the same way, with September sales up 77% and November running above 70% on both measures.
Global Travel Collection's 2026 luxury trends report, published July 1, reads the same shift from the client side: bookings for villas and private accommodations up 7% year on year, European summer bookings down 10% while European autumn bookings rose 25%, and the Caribbean leading festive demand with Anguilla, Turks and Caicos and the Cayman Islands at the top, with Japan and Mexico named as early front-runners for travellers planning further ahead.
What those figures describe is a client base that no longer waits for a season to feel close before committing to it. Spring has historically been the last calendar to fill. On the evidence of the winter just booked, it no longer has the room for a late open — and the households that filled the Caribbean over the festive weeks are largely the same ones returning in March. Eight in ten of the company's guest families come back, and the spring break and Easter windows are where a substantial share of that return lands.
The warm half of the release
The release leads with Turks & Caicos, second on the company's 2026 Billionaire Villa Index and one of the three islands Global Travel Collection places at the head of Caribbean festive demand. Across Haute Retreats Turks and Caicos villas — more than 160 handpicked properties spanning Grace Bay, Leeward, Turtle Tail, Long Bay and the private islands — Easter and spring break availability opens first on the fully staffed tier.
The Dominican Republic villas collection, fifth on the Index, carries the release's largest capacity: more than a hundred fully staffed houses across Casa de Campo, Cap Cana, Punta Cana, Rio San Juan and Las Terrenas, led for Easter by the properties built to hold three generations at once. The ÀNI estate on the north coast at Rio San Juan runs to fourteen bedrooms for up to twenty-eight guests with a resident team of more than thirty; in the villa communities of Casa de Campo, a reunion of twenty is a routine booking rather than a logistical exercise.
The Pacific anchor is Los Cabos villas, sixth on the Index and the destination most exposed to the timing shift. Its high season runs December through April, with dry weather, daytime temperatures between 75 and 82°F and the grey-whale migration continuing offshore into spring. The company's published guidance for peak holiday weeks there is nine to twelve months' notice, which places a March 2027 week booked this autumn at the short end of that window rather than comfortably inside it.
What opens first, and why
Across a portfolio of more than 2,400 villas, mansions and estates, the fully staffed collection is a defined tier rather than the whole: the houses that come with a resident chef, a villa manager and daily housekeeping included, with drivers where the destination requires them. Every stay in the portfolio sits under the same 24/7 concierge desk, and in houses where a team is not already in residence a private chef and additional staff can be arranged at additional cost. What cannot be arranged at short notice is the resident household itself, which is why the staffed tier absorbs each season's earliest demand and why a spring release opens in September.
Every property in the release, whichever climate it stands in, runs the same sequence the company applies year-round: a 21-day pre-arrival briefing on the specific family being hosted, a chef assigned against that brief rather than a rota, and provisioning planned weeks ahead against supply chains that tighten at peak.
"We opened Easter on the day exactly six months before it, and we did that on purpose," said Sabrina Piccinin, Founder and CEO of Haute Retreats. "The families who book Christmas half a year ahead have taught us how they book everything else. Spring used to be the season that waited. It does not wait any more — and in 2027 it also happens to fall early enough that a family can choose between a beach and a mountain for the same week. That is a rarer thing than it sounds."
Spring 2027 allocations across Turks & Caicos, Los Cabos, the Dominican Republic and the French Alps are open now through the company's bespoke concierge team.
