LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. (PRWEB) April 10, 2020
Georgia School Boards Association (GSBA) and its subsidiary, eBOARDsolutions, Inc. are pleased to announce the release of its ‘Virtual Board Meeting Guide,’ a new website resource for school boards.
In response to nationwide school closings resulting from the COVID-19 pandemic, eBOARDsolutions has developed a dedicated website to help school boards better equip themselves to address the challenges of meeting virtually, in an online environment. Highlighting the benefits of combining virtual meeting software, board management software, and video streaming services via social media platforms, the website shares best practices on implementing these complementary resources to provide school boards with the ability to effectively conduct virtual board meetings. The website also features resources shared from other state school board associations around the country as well.
“Our member school boards are facing new realities each day in responding to the needs of their students, staff, and communities and are looking for guidance and help,” said Valarie Wilson, GSBA Executive Director. “We felt compelled to assemble and share resources that would best enable them to continue to meet and make decisions in the most effective and efficient manner possible. Launching the virtual board meeting guide website is the first step in that journey.”
In conjunction with the virtual meeting guide website release, eBOARDsolutions has also announced free access to their paperless board meeting software, Simbli, to eligible school districts. One of six core integrated modules that make up Simbli’s board management software, the Meetings module facilitates paperless board meetings, helping school boards streamline meeting preparation and provide easy and secure access to meeting materials online; the software will be available for free for newly subscribing, U.S. school districts until the end of the school year.
“Addressing COVID-19 is causing organizations to have to work through issues that challenge governance, leadership, and management,” said Mark Willis, eBOARDsolutions Chief Operating Officer. eBOARDsolutions remains committed to addressing these needs and assisting our users to effectively communicate, collaborate and make decisions.”
