The company currently manages the acquisition and management of grant funds for thousands of units of governments, including many of the largest cities, counties, and tribal nations in the United States.
“The challenge that many governments face today is the sheer volume of work that is created by multiple grant systems, inconsistent processes, and lack of internal collaboration,” said eCivis CEO James Ha. “Based on data we’ve collected over the past two years, the cost of pursuing and managing grants is often double what most governments are calculating because visibility into required activities and their costs is often unavailable.”
Beginning July 1, 2016, eCivis Grants Network will release the following enhancements to help address this visibility challenge:
1. Project/grant metrics and outcomes: Track real-time metrics and outcomes through the entire grant lifecycle, including access to analytics and trends.
2. Grant proposal collaboration tools: Work on and save proposals within Grants Network, including drafts and upload of documents.
3. Grant budget tools: Create a grant budget, and track and report actual financial expenditures against each budget item with data directly from a financial system.
4. Access to grant information and training materials: Access templates, expert articles and other resources to improve compliance and performance of grant programs.
5. Improved interoperability with ERP and financial systems: Utilize tools for grant costing and indirect cost calculations.
Later this summer, eCivis will also begin releasing a series of enhancements that will provide enterprise-level transparency and management capabilities for sub-recipient monitoring. The new releases will be fully integrated into eCivis’ existing grants management system to give its customers complete oversight of their entire grants portfolio and sub-recipient performance. In addition, applicants will no longer need to sign up or log in to disparate systems to apply for grants or submit reports. Prime recipients will be able to provide a uniform grant experience to applicants and awardees that will eliminate excess administrative costs.
eCivis has experienced a significant increase in interest from large state and local governments wanting to improve their grant management process.
