Empowered learners are more successful learners, and the changes we’ve made will enable students to spend more time on learning and ensure they have the tools they need to take control of their own academic success.
SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. (PRWEB) October 24, 2018
Edgenuity, a leading provider of online curriculum and instructional services for the K-12 market, has announced a redesigned student interface to enable students to take ownership of their learning. Built with the input of thousands of students and teachers, the new Student Experience is designed to make it easier for students to see due dates, understand their progress across courses, access feedback on assignments and communicate with their teachers.
“This redesigned Student Experience reflects Edgenuity’s focus on bringing personalization and engagement to more classrooms,” said Sari Factor, CEO of Edgenuity. “We’ve adapted our platform based on valuable feedback from our community of students and teachers. Empowered learners are more successful learners, and the changes we’ve made will enable students to spend more time on learning and ensure they have the tools they need to take control of their own academic success.”
In addition to its completely fresh look and feel, the new student dashboard allows learners to access important information right from the homepage – including course overviews that display multiple grading metrics, upcoming submission dates and embedded progress reports. Students can always know where they stand thanks to easily accessible icons that allow for feedback, note total time spent on courses and indicate pacing or late assignments.
The new Student Experience also incorporates new time management tools – such as a progress bar designed to help with course pacing and a personalized estimate of how much time it will take to complete assignments – to help students take greater ownership of their learning and effectively plan their work.
The new Student Experience will be available in Beta in late 2018, and schools can choose to adopt at that time or anytime throughout the spring or summer.
