SAN FRANCISCO, Nov. 25, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- EducationSuperHighway and the Alliance for Excellent Education (All4Ed) today announced a partnership to promote the ninth annual Digital Learning Day (DLDay), which will take place on Thursday, February 27, 2020.
The annual celebration promotes the effective use of modern technologies to enhance the roles of educators and afford students everywhere the opportunities to gain 21st century skills needed for college and career readiness. In a recently released report, EducationSuperHighway announced that 99% of American schools are on fiber-optic connections, which means 46.3 million students have the scalable Internet infrastructure needed for their schools to meet the growing demands of technology. This is critical to ensure students are preparing for their future, not our present.
The partnership will launch with a campaign that showcases short stories - one for each state - about schools removing barriers, saving time, and improving outcomes for students by embracing digital learning. For example, Llano Independent School District (TX), where the use of a robot allowed an injured student to complete classes and graduate on time, and Norwalk High School (CT), where students are earning professional certifications including Emergency Medicine Technician and Adobe Pro.
