EKU Introduces Military Friendly Tuition Rates for Active Duty Students
Eastern Kentucky University, which has a distinguished history as a military friendly school, is increasing the benefits it offers to veterans and families. Effective immediately, tuition will be substantially reduced for active duty service members.
RICHMOND, Ky., Aug. 23, 2018 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Eastern Kentucky University, which has a distinguished history as a military friendly school, is increasing the benefits it offers to veterans and families. Effective immediately, tuition will be substantially reduced for active duty service members.
Active duty service members on federal orders for at least 180 days are eligible for EKU's Military Reduced Tuition, which is $250 per credit hour for undergraduate courses and $325 per credit hour for graduate courses. In addition, students will remain eligible to qualify for federal financial aid and have the opportunity to use their GI Bill benefits to cover any remaining costs.
The reduced tuition rate will make education possible for more of our nation's heroes, regardless of where they are located. EKU Online offers more than 40 degree and certificate options that can be completed from home or while stationed abroad. Personalized advising helps ensure that online students make the most of their transfer credit and stay focused on their goals. Accelerated 8-week terms give them the opportunity to take one course at a time and still stay on track.

Students can receive credit for their military experience and reduce their expenses by using the Books for Boots Exchange Library and book vouchers. EKU's withdrawal and readmissions policies were designed with service members in mind. Military students also have access to the campus food bank and local housing assistance, whether they study online or on-campus.
