Elevator Industry Unites for Stand Up for Safety Event
The elevator and escalator industry, along with NEII, celebrates its first ever "Stand Up For Safety" event to show its commitment to and encouragement of safe work practices.
CENTREVILLE, Va., Nov. 1, 2018 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- The National Elevator Industry, Inc. (NEII) applauds its members and the International Union of Elevator Constructors (IUEC) for their ongoing commitment to safety. Today, elevator workers and employers across the country came together to show their commitment to safe work practices in the first ever "Stand Up for Safety" event. During this event, all employees paused their work to hear important safety messages from their company presidents as well as the National President of the IUEC.
"By participating in today's Stand Up for Safety events, elevator companies and the IUEC united to remind all industry employees of the collective commitment to maintain safe work environments," said Karen Penafiel, Executive Director of NEII. "Together we are working toward a safer future in the elevator industry.
