Appointment of Bill Pfost brings more than three decades of spine industry experience to support the company's continued growth and broader adoption of minimally invasive endoscopic spine solutions.
BALDWIN, N.Y., Oct. 8, 2026 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- elliquence, LLC, a global leader in minimally invasive surgical technologies, today announced the appointment of Bill Pfost as Chief Executive Officer. A seasoned medical device executive with more than 30 years of experience in the spine industry, he will lead elliquence as the company continues to expand its presence in the U.S. and global markets and advance the adoption of minimally invasive endoscopic approaches to spine care.
Pfost brings extensive commercial and executive leadership experience to elliquence, with a career spanning the development, commercialization and distribution of some of the spine industry's most recognized technologies. Most recently, he served as Chief Revenue Officer of Companion Spine, driving the company's vision as a leader in posterior dynamic stabilization. His previous leadership roles include executive positions at Zimmer Spine, Paradigm Spine, and American Medical Concepts.
"Bill brings a rare combination of deep spine industry experience, commercial leadership and an understanding of how innovative technologies gain acceptance among physicians and patients," said Daniel Hui, member of the elliquence Board of Directors. "As elliquence works to broaden awareness and adoption of endoscopic approaches to spine care, his industry knowledge, relationships and perspective on the evolving treatment landscape will be invaluable in guiding the company's next stage of growth."
The appointment comes as elliquence continues to build awareness of minimally invasive endoscopic techniques as an important option across a range of spine conditions and procedures. By enabling physicians to access and treat targeted anatomy with minimal disruption to surrounding healthy tissue, endoscopic interventions may offer appropriately selected patients reduced recovery times and the potential for same-day outpatient treatment. This approach reflects elliquence's longstanding philosophy that, when clinically appropriate, less intervention can deliver meaningful benefits for both physicians and patients.
"Throughout my career, I've seen how advances in minimally invasive techniques can fundamentally change the way physicians approach patient care," said Pfost. "I believe that elliquence is well-positioned to evolve as a leader in the advancement of endoscopic procedures. elliquence has spent decades developing the technologies, clinical relationships and expertise to help advance this approach, and I'm excited to build on that foundation, broaden its adoption and lead the company into its next phase of growth."
Pfost began his career at U.S. Surgical Corporation, where he played a role in driving adoption of laparoscopic cholecystectomy as minimally invasive surgical techniques were transforming general surgery. Over the ensuing three decades, he has held senior sales, marketing and executive leadership positions across the medical device and spine industries and has been involved in the development and distribution of less invasive and interventional technologies.
As CEO, Pfost will provide strategic leadership across elliquence's operations, commercial organization and continued market development, with an emphasis on expanding the understanding of endoscopic spine procedures among physicians and patients and supporting the company's long-term growth.
