GARDNER, Mass., Dec. 29, 2021 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Elvis C. Foster, who has over 25 years of combined experience as a software engineer, database expert, information technology executive and consultant, and computer science educator, has completed his new book "Life": a gripping work that consists of thirty-one short topics touching on issues such as love, decision-making, human tendencies, race relations, life as a teacher, family and society, friendship, good versus evil, truth versus falsehood, psychological prisons, stewardship, knowledge and enlightenment, human communication, test of character, and love.
Foster writes, "This book is one of the results of my long-standing attraction to observing things in our daily lives and learning from them. This habit started during my formative years as a child growing up. I believe it is fair to say it is not just a habit but also part of my character. The book has followed a rather atypical path to its current state. I did not set out to write a book with the title Life—Essence of it All.
Rather, I have made these observations and kept them in a diary. They therefore span most of my existence—from teenage years, to young adulthood, to being a middle-aged professional. With the passing of time, I have occasionally shared my observations in social settings. On every occasion that I do, the resounding response from the audience was, '"Do you have these in a book?" Or, "May I quote you on that?" So thanks to the prodding of a few close friends and people in my social circles, I have agreed to organize these thoughts into this volume that I fondly call The Essence Project. I arrived at this title because I believe the essence of my thought process is to understand life and to answer the following three related philosophical questions: What is the essence of life?; Does any part of this thing called life make any sense?; and, Why are we really here?"
Published by Page Publishing, Elvis C. Foster's riveting story begins and ends with a focus on the very pertinent and important issue of love.
The intent and objective of the author is to inspire additional thought, reflection, and in some cases research on the topics covered. In sharing this work with the public, it is the author's hope that the reader will travel with him through the various topics included to the discovery that there is more to life than just the mundane activities of survival that we often get obsessed with. It is also hoped that as readers contemplate the various topics discussed, they will find their points of equilibrium on these issues.
Readers who wish to experience this intriguing book can purchase "Life" at bookstores everywhere, or online at the Apple iTunes Store, Amazon, Google Play, or Barnes and Noble.
