ELYRIA, Ohio, Oct. 16, 2021 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Jeff Ohlemacher, CEO of EMC Precision in Elyria, OH has been awarded the prominent Gold Micrometer Award by the Precision Machined Products Association (PMPA) for making significant contributions to the industry during his over 40 years of service. Ohlemacher was presented with his Gold Micrometer at the association's 2021 annual meeting in Charleston, SC.
As CEO of EMC Precision, Jeff is responsible for guiding the long term strategic leadership of this fourth generation, family owned, precision machining company. Upon receiving a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from The Ohio State University, he joined the company as Plant Manager in 1981. Jeff is credited with bringing progressive management processes to EMC that significantly improved plant effectiveness and efficiency. In 1987, Jeff was named President & CEO. Since 1981, Jeff has been involved in PMPA, the precision machining industry's premier association, of which he is a Past President. He also served as Director, Lake Erie District Chair, and continues to serve on association committees. In 2017 he was recognized with the coveted Frank T. McGinnis Merit Award and reached a milestone of attending over 100 Annual Meetings in 2021.
Jeff is an active member and Past Cleveland Chapter Chair of the Young Presidents Organization Gold (YPO Gold) and is a past member of the Young Presidents Organization (YPO). In the local Lorain/Elyria community, Jeff has served many organizations, including the Arthritis Foundation, Elyria City Schools Board of Education, Elyria Civil Service Commission, and the Elyria Rotary Club. Jeff enjoys engaging with people, reading, jogging, gardening, cooking, and canning. He and his wife Denise reside in Elyria, Ohio and have a blended family of five young adults.
