There are a lot of great CME courses available. The trick is to match the needs of a specific doctor with the right CME course.
Denver, CO (PRWEB) December 09, 2014
eMedEvents, a Denver, Colorado-based start-up company, has officially launched its new online medical conference database for doctors. The search-based website, which includes a comprehensive database of over 20,000 medical events across the United States and eight other countries, seeks to match busy healthcare providers with conferences they can attend in order to earn continuing medical education (CME) credits. Other services offered by eMedEvents include:
- The ability to create or search for healthcare speaker profiles.
- CME credit tracking.
- Medical event promotion.
“There are a lot of great CME courses available. The trick is to match the needs of a specific doctor with the right CME course,” explains eMedEvents CEO and Harvard Extension School graduate Priya Korrapati. “The goal of our searchable database is to help physicians quickly and easily find a conference to attend when and where they need it.”
Similar to how Orbitz and Travelocity have simplified the travel industry, eMedEvents has streamlined CME by gathering information from top medical events across the U.S. and making them searchable. Doctors can now log in to one site and find, register for and make travel arrangements for the conference(s) they would like to attend, all at once.
Dr. Johnson, a pediatrician in Denver, is just one example of a physician in need of an organized way to find and book medical conferences that will count toward the 270+ hours of CME she is required to finish. eMedEvents is one of the first sites of its kind to cater to her need for efficiency, as she along with most other healthcare providers strive to balance a full work schedule and potential family commitments in addition to the completion of 100+ hours of CME credits.
