Emerald Brand Announces American Made "Tree-Free™" Hot Cup

SYOSSET, N.Y., Sept. 5, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Emerald Brand has created the first USA made Tree-Free™ hot cup. The technology mimics many of the newest rollouts by Emerald Brand utilizing their newest technology in Tree-Free™, non-virgin or recycled traditional tree pulp. Traditional virgin and recycled pulp have and will continue to contribute to the deforestation and climate change epidemic. Not only will deforestation impact the lives of the species that live there, but it is also impacting the lives of humans.

Trees are disappearing at an alarming rate due to deforestation. According to the United Nations' Food and Agriculture Organization, an estimated 18 million acres (7.3 million hectares) of forest are lost each year. As a result of this, more than 1.5 billion tons of carbon dioxide are released into the atmosphere due to deforestation every year. "Trees absorb the carbon dioxide that we exhale. Emerald Brand cups are Tree-Free™, recyclable, BPA free, chlorine-free, fluorocarbon-free, and printed with water-based ink. These Tree-Free™ hot cups come in a variety of sizes. They will be available in 10oz, 12oz, 16oz and 20oz. Emerald Brand will be rolling out this product line the 3rd quarter of 2019.

Emerald™ will also be expanding the hot cup line into 100 % Compostable Tree- Free™. This single wall hot cup will be available in the 4th quarter of 2019.
