Empire Precision Plastics Earns ITAR Compliance Registration
Rochester, NY (PRWEB) November 20, 2014 -- Empire Precision Plastics announced today it has completed registration for compliance to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) for the manufacture and export of products used in defense applications.
Empire is registered with the U.S. State Department’s Directorate of Defense Trade Controls (DDTC) as a manufacturer of goods included in the United States Munitions List (USML). While Empire has a long-standing track record of compliance with the security and quality regulations of the industry, formalizing these standards offers customers greater quality assurance.
Empire manufactures injection molded optics, opaque parts and assemblies for firearms, heads-up displays, night vision systems and other applications. The company’s ITAR registered status will save defense customers time during the qualification and audit stages of the procurement process, as many require their supply partners to be ITAR compliant.

To ensure that compliance requirements were met, Empire worked with High Tech Rochester to build business processes and implementation strategies.
Empire Precision is also certified in compliance with ISO 9001:2008 and ISO 13485:2012 quality standards and holds a federal firearms license for the manufacture of firearms.
