Building on the momentum from my TEDx talk, I wanted to create an entity to properly serve those who have expressed interest in strategies and solutions specifically pertaining to empowerment beyond trauma.
LOS ANGELES (PRWEB) May 28, 2020
TEDx speaker and empowerment consultant Pierce J. Brooks today announced the launch of his flagship brand and company, Empowered Storytellers. The company will be a go-to resource for all things empowerment and encouragement, offering a slate of public speakers (including Brooks), multimedia content, connected community, structured self-help and teambuilding. Empowered Storytellers will feature athletes, artists, and thought-leaders who have taken the steps to overcome their own traumatic experiences or limiting beliefs to share their stories with individuals and organizations experiencing similar circumstances.
Brooks is a former prominent college athlete with familial ties to great success in professional sports as well as great tragedy in experiences with depression and suicide. In his February 2020 TEDx talk “Playing the Game of Social Pressure”, Brooks focuses on lessons and strategies for both individuals and teams to claim power after trauma, or “find meaning in madness”, his mantra. In the short time since, he has emerged as a promising thought leader for self-help and teambuilding, earning accolades from both professional sports figures, including NBA commentator Chris Broussard and Orlando Magic forward Aaron Gordon, as well as established self-help experts, such as CNN contributor and best-selling author, Dr. Mark Goulston.
Through the Empowered Storytellers brand, Pierce will offer public and private speaking engagements as well as empowerment consulting to both individuals and organizations. He believes the timing could not be more right to launch a much-needed resource for people dealing with great trauma, anxiety and loss in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic.
“I’m thrilled to officially launch the Empowered Storytellers brand,” Brooks said. “Building on the momentum from my TEDx talk, I wanted to create an entity to properly serve those who have expressed interest in strategies and solutions specifically pertaining to empowerment beyond trauma. Especially within our current context of COVID-19 where so many are dealing with the loss of a loved one, steady job, or just their familiar way of life, the time is right to offer a resource for hope and empowerment. To launch during Mental Health Awareness Month is a fitting tribute.”
