Empson USA Expands Its Tuscan Selection Adding Poggio Argentiera To The Portfolio
The Maremma producer is the latest addition to a stellar wine selection that already featured Tuscan icons Eredi Fuligni, Boscarelli, Conti Costanti among others.
NEW YORK, June 9, 2023 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Empson USA is proud to announce the addition of Poggio Argentiera from Maremma, Tuscany, to its award-winning wine selection with three wines: Bellamarsilia Morellino di Scansano DOCG, Capatosta Toscana Rosso IGT and Poggioraso Toscana Cabernet Franc IGT. The prestigious wine importer has been importing Italy's finest wines for over fifty years.
The PoggioargentierA project started in 1997 with the acquisition of a 15-acres farm, now the Adua estate, adjacent to the Natural Park of Maremma. It expanded in the following years with the purchase of another estate in Baccinello, in 2001, and the integration of several vineyards, counting today over 50 acres in the Morellino di Scansano appellation. The different environmental conditions of the two locations allow the winery to convey the multifaceted reality of Maremma in the glass. Adua is only 3-3.5 miles away from the seaside area of Marina di Alberese, where the soil is predominantly sandy and loamy. On the other hand, due to its proximity to Mount Amiata, the Bacinello estate benefits from ideal exposure, higher altitude, and a stony soil composition.
