EMS Chief Benjamin Stone Named 2016 IAEMSC/Intermedix Harvard EMS Fellow
Nashville, Tenn. (PRWEB) June 02, 2016 -- Intermedix and the International Association of Emergency Medical Services Chiefs announced the selection of the Los Alamos County Fire Department EMS Division Chief, Benjamin Stone, as the 2016 IAEMSC/Intermedix Harvard fellow.
Chief Stone was chosen from a competitive candidate pool of EMS chief officers to participate in the Senior Executives in State and Local Government program at Harvard University’s John F. Kennedy School of Government.
The three-week program follows an engaging curriculum with real-life case studies intended to strengthen participants’ abilities as public officials. Through various decision-making tasks, the participants are able to strengthen partnerships and develop cooperative governance through teamwork.
Over the course of his distinguished career, Stone has demonstrated driven, goal-oriented leadership in all of his roles. His abilities have not gone unnoticed as he was frequently promoted, climbing the ranks to become the Los Alamos Fire Department’s youngest chief.
Being awarded this fellowship is considered to be one of the highest honors for leaders in the field of Emergency Medical Services. The recipient has strengthened the discipline and the advancement of EMS through commitment and dedication to the EMS profession.

This fellowship is awarded by the IAEMSC through the support of Intermedix.
