AUSTIN, Texas, Oct. 7, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Encast Inc. (Encast), has tapped Social Responsibility and Sustainability executive, Mohammad "Mo" Hamid, to join the company as a Special Advisor.
In this role, Hamid will work closely with Encast's management and board of directors on sharpening the company's strategy and driving new growth as the company navigates the workplace giving, volunteering and culture landscape.
Commenting on the appointment, Encast's Founder and Chief Executive Officer, Leo Ramirez Jr, said, "Our mission at Encast is make it easier for companies of all sizes to create, manage, and measure social impact programs geared towards cultivating culture. Given Mo's distinguished work in corporate responsibility strategy and measurement, that has been featured in publications such as The Conference Board's Environmental, Social and Governance Center (ESG) Newsletter, we see him as a natural fit."
Mr. Hamid was previously the Chief Executive Officer of Unison (acquired in 2018), an innovator in strategy, analytics, and sustainability. Under his leadership, Unison grew to become a well-recognized firm with many Fortune 500 clients spanning automotive, energy, consumer-packaged-goods, bio-pharma, and retail. Prior to Unison, Mo held several executive roles in ad-tech, manufacturing, and financial services and has played an on-going advisory role with venture capital and private equity firms since 2011.
Along with the addition of Hamid comes a new round of funding for Encast. These resources will support Encast as it bolsters its efforts in the human-resources technology ecosystem.
Encast Culture Cloud 2.0
As it continues its momentum in 2019 and 2020, the primary focus for the company is on a pervasive marketplace problem: integrating giving, volunteering, and culture management solutions directly with HR-tech companies.
"While many technology companies have been successful in addressing aspects of problems like corporate giving and volunteering, few of them focus on the most influential organizations in this space: HR-tech companies," said Mr. Ramirez. "Whether it's human capital management, payroll & benefits processing, or even professional employer organizations, it's clear that these organizations are looking for a competitive edge. We fill that void."
Commenting on Encast's approach to the marketplace needs, Mr. Hamid said, "I'm very excited to work on the next chapter of Encast Culture Cloud. This evolution in the company's strategy will bring the first workplace data-lake to the market, enabling a wide range of new insights on workplace engagement."
