MIDLAND, Texas, Aug. 7, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Agriculture company Encore Green Environmental announces its partnership with Cody Wilson Farms in Midkiff, Texas with a new solution to the challenge of what to do with vast amounts of oilfield by-product water. The announcement is made in Midland, Texas, at the Permian Basin 2019 conference hosted by the Produced Water Society.

The Permian Basin is oil rich and has even been called, 'The New Saudi Arabia' because of its vast oil yet to be drilled. However, out of the oil wells comes 3 to 6 barrels of by-product/produced water for every 1 barrel of oil. This volume of water is a challenge in all oil producing areas, but the extreme amounts of by-product water in the Permian has brought it to crisis proportions.
Traditionally, this water is disposed of through an injection well. However, the dwindling number of wells, regulatory reluctance to create more, the environmental outcry of 'disposing' of this unprocessed/uncleaned water, combined with projected trillions of gallons of such water has created a need for a new solution.
Encore Green Environmental has the only agricultural oriented solution. The Conservation By-Design™ patent-pending method processes that water in proximity to the well and land applies it, creating vegetation growth, soil health, and carbon capture. This serves the oil industry, the farmers and ranchers, the environmentalists, and most importantly, it serves the arid land of the West because this water is not 'disposed of,' but put to good use.

Conservation By-Design™ is agronomy-centric and begins by testing the soil on the land near the oil well. The water is then tested to determine its makeup to match the soil's 'DNA' for optimal vegetation growth. The water is processed there, close to the well, so no trucking is needed. Once the water matches the soil's needs, it is applied to the land. This re-purposes water that is typically tossed away.
