“Mechanics are an integral part of the communities they serve and a consumer-facing extension of our business,” added Chernawsky. “I’m proud that we are partnering with shop owners and customers in a formal way to change the way the world thinks of vehicle protection.”

Endurance announced today that it has joined forces with America’s hometown mechanics to elevate their authority and expand trust in breakdown protection. As a leader in vehicle service contracts that extend drivers’ mechanical coverage once the manufacturer’s warranty runs out, Endurance was founded with a commitment to service, transparency, and accountability in the auto protection industry.

“When my co-founder and I started Endurance nearly two decades ago, we saw an opportunity to differentiate our company from bad actors and to build a brand centered on service that drivers could really trust,” said Paul Chernawsky, co-founder and CEO of Endurance. “We administer most of our plans, so unlike other sellers who hand off the contract once it’s signed, that’s really the point when our job begins. We’re with the customer from quote to claim, and I’m proud that we’ve paid out millions in claims over the past decade.”

Endurance has established a national network of certified repair shops that serve as key partners to help drivers get back on the road after a major breakdown. Leveraging this network, along with help of its strategic partner RepairPal, Endurance has teamed up with certified mechanics across the nation to educate and empower confidence in America’s drivers.

“Most people don’t know that while insurance covers you from accidents, it doesn’t protect you if your vehicle's parts suddenly break down,” said Keith Benline, ASE- and RepairPal-certified owner of A+ AutoCare and Robert’s Auto Service. “When your manufacturer’s warranty expires, a protection plan can cover repair costs and get you back on the road faster.”

Keith is just one of the real mechanics who will take center stage in the company’s new TV commercial which begins airing nationally and online this January. Together with current Endurance customers, mechanics tell the firsthand story of how important a vehicle protection plan is, and how it has saved real drivers from the extremely high cost of an unexpected automotive failure.

“An unexpected auto repair can be a major setback for most Americans, and even a minor failure in today’s modern vehicles can add up to thousands in out of pocket expenses,” said Melissa Balsan, Chief Marketing Officer at Endurance. “It’s inspiring to hear firsthand stories from real drivers who have benefited from our plans, and we’re excited to amplify the knowledgeable voices of expert mechanics to bring authenticity to the industry.”

The campaign also aims to elevate the automotive technician trade and enhance the reputation of knowledgeable, certified mechanics and shop owners. A recent AAA survey found that two out of three U.S. drivers were generally skeptical about repair shops, which was often the result of one poor past experience. Some drivers are fearful that repair shops will recommend unnecessary repairs or overcharge for services.* To counteract this perception and share trustworthy expertise from its network of auto professionals, Endurance will share expert articles and videos on its website and social media channels. Keith, along with Andrew Giorgi, Army Veteran and owner of Midwest City Auto, both contribute regularly; along with female mechanics to come in honor of International Women’s Day.

Endurance has a history of innovation in vehicle protection, from establishing its own admin/obligor capabilities over a decade ago, to recently introducing EnduranceAdvantage™, a comprehensive protection plan that includes routine maintenance. The brand mission—to ‘Empower Confidence for the Road Ahead’—aligns closely with the work mechanics are doing in local communities every day. This program will elevate their authority and provide a larger platform to build consumer trust in both certified mechanics and extended vehicle protection.

“Mechanics are an integral part of the communities they serve and a consumer-facing extension of our business,” added Chernawsky. “I’m proud that we are partnering with shop owners and customers in a formal way to change the way the world thinks of vehicle protection.” To learn more about Endurance’s new advertising campaign and view expert content, visit endurancewarranty.com.
