This reduces heat output to the living space. To solve this issue, Heatshield Products has engineered a solution called FireFlect Shield™. This reflective thermal barrier installs between the fire area and walls of the fireplace to direct up to 30 percent more of the heat out of the fireplace. This significantly reduces wood or fuel consumption, and uses more of the heat generated in the fireplace to warm the room.

Because FireFlect Shield reduces heat absorption from the interior walls, it also protecting the bricks and mortar from the degrading effects of constant high-heat exposure, extending the life of a fireplace.
