New Practice to Focus on Technologies Central to Improving Customer and Employee Experience
NEWTON, Mass., March 16, 2023 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- TechTarget's Enterprise Strategy Group, a leading IT analyst, research, and strategy firm, today announced that it has launched a new Business Applications and End-user Computing (EUC) practice that will increase the firm's formal coverage of key enterprise applications markets including customer experience (CX), EUC, and unified communications (UC). Coming together to research these areas is a seasoned team comprising Senior Analyst Don Fluckinger, covering customer experience; Senior Analyst Gabe Knuth, covering end-user computing and unified communications; and, leading the team, Practice Director and Senior Analyst Stephanie Corby. Corby, who has covered business applications, end-user computing, and unified communications for over a decade, joins the Enterprise Strategy Group from parent company TechTarget where she was the VP of Market Insights and Publisher responsible for Business Applications markets.
"All of us at Enterprise Strategy Group are excited to initiate this expanded coverage and to start applying additional world-class research and analyst resources to these dynamic markets," said Doug Cahill, Senior Vice President, Analyst Services. "All of our latest research on customer experience, unified communications-as-a-service (UCaaS), and end-user computing reinforces the criticality of these topics to business success, and we look forward to conducting a new level of peer-based research to help technology providers and IT teams make better decisions for their customers and users."
A recent research study from this team titled Unified Communication and Collaboration Integrations for Modern Business Workflows found that among the top business priorities driving unified communications and collaboration strategies, respondents most often reported improving the customer experience (cited by 43% of respondents), with improving the employee experience closely behind (41%). However, enterprises continue to have challenges with these platforms related to IT operations efficiency, cybersecurity, and integration with other systems and applications.
"As revealed in our annual technology spending intentions research, CX is a top business driver for enterprise organizations, but the reality is that most businesses are still in the early stages of CX maturity and strategy," notes Corby. "The complexity of CX technology stacks has created integration and adoption challenges that will inevitably drive consolidation into platforms. The Business Applications and End-user Computing practice looks forward to researching these nuances further in 2023 and beyond."
