Gary B. Helms spent the '60s, '70s, and '80s in the upper levels of the investment business. He managed mutual funds, pensions and endowments, and supervised analysts and other money managers. Helms was one of the inventors of Portfolio Strategy as a profession and a key part of the process. A graduate of Chapel Hill and the Harvard Business School, he manages his own capital and occasionally writes and speaks about current investment matters form his homes in Vero Beach, Florida and the Utah Mountains.
