STERLING, Va., Sept. 12, 2018 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- EnterWorks, a leading provider of Master Data Management (MDM) and Product Information Management (PIM) solutions, today announced a strategic collaboration with Amazon Web Services (AWS). The enhanced relationship continues the advancement of the Enable MDM/PIM platform's scalability in the cloud, a key capability for B2B and B2C businesses in all verticals, from mid-size businesses that are on a fast growth path and large global enterprises to collaborative B2B2C member groups and multi-divisional enterprises.
EnterWorks' multi-domain MDM approach encompasses product domain, customer, brand, location, and digital assets to provide content in context from a central repository for businesses, trading partners, and customers across channels. EnterWorks' unique B2B2C collaboration platform promotes digital engagement across the content value chain through complementary capabilities in enterprise workflow, portals for suppliers, sales and service, as well as digital asset management in collaboration with AWS.
AWS will also be featured at the 2018 Enable User Conference, which brings together EnterWorks' PIM and MDM experts with its diverse customer base to connect, share best practices, learn and grow. Attendees will have the opportunity to explore how the right B2B2C collaboration capabilities can empower you to respond to the demand for rich, cross-channel content.
"The ability to deploy and scale Enable PIM/MDM easily in the cloud is an essential part of supporting our customers agility as they tackle growth and competitive challenges," said John Jones, VP and CTO of EnterWorks. "We are excited in taking our relationship with AWS to another level as it allows customers to address commerce demands for scalability, and take advantage of AWS services, such as image recognition and location services that seamlessly fit into our platform through our Agile Data FabricTM. We're thrilled that AWS will be joining us at our annual conference to support our customers."
Enable is a packaged application that can be deployed on-premises or hosted as a cloud offering via AWS, utilizing Amazon Elastic Cloud Compute (Amazon EC2), Amazon Relational Database Service (Amazon RDS), and Amazon Simple Storage Service (Amazon S3) for hosted deployments. The global reach and the underlying scalability of cloud capabilities allows Enable to provide deployments without compromising functionality or restricting the ability of its customers to integrate with legacy applications.
In addition to AWS, EnterWorks Enable leverages the cloud services of Azure, Google Cloud Platform, Force.com, and IBM Cloud to provide for flexible application delivery models. Because it is cloud agnostic, Enable can be deployed and integrated with SaaS products from AWS Marketplace, the Azure Marketplace, with Google Apps, and with Salesforce Force.com at the business process level. The solution features a three-tier web architecture fully distributable for scalability, along with fully-defined and exposed web services to access all functionality of the product.
"We deliver fully documented services platform oriented APIs with our solution," said Jones. "We have customers in production who have developed custom applications using Enable web services to access and integrate to key MDM functionality."
When Enable instances are deployed on AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform or IBM, the application is securely accessible via web browser. One main advantage is that EnterWorks SaaS cloud application customers can subscribe and have access to a data domain, which can be extended and configured from the base data model through a web browser interface, without need to modify source code. Customers have the option to subscribe to managed services, which perform maintenance and upgrades on Enable instances through a scheduled maintenance window.
Systems Integrators and partners may use PaaS to integrate and deploy production instances of Enable, however the solution itself is not a PaaS cloud application service. Enable RESTful services and database integration services and portal framework are available through Enable instances on AWS, which allows for building custom MDM-based applications utilizing both native and iPaaS services.
The 2018 Enable User Conference agenda features: Annual Customer Advisory Board Meeting; Tech Training / Business Training / Print Automation; Innovation Panel featuring Emerging Trends in AI, AR & Robotics for PIM and MDM; Enable User Customer Case Studies featuring US Foods, Fender and International Market Centers; Enable 9 Showcase, Roadmap and Demo; as well as multiple "Birds of a Feather" Sessions.
