MINNEAPOLIS (PRWEB) December 28, 2022
Entourage Events Group announced today it has partnered with Camp Fire Minnesota to offer unique rental experiences in nature. Their partnership is reimagining Camp Fire Minnesota’s wooded oasis on Lake Minnewashta, in Excelsior and creating nature-based events for family, corporate retreats, unique wedding celebrations and more. Entourage will begin hosting events at Camp Fire Minnesota in January of 2023. The venue now accepts bookings and has scheduled events for 2023 and beyond. Future packages include fat bike trails, dog sledding, snowshoeing, and ice fishing.
This unique partnership of a for-profit events company and a long-standing nonprofit is a unique situation. Camp Fire Minnesota will still use the property for their summer camps and other nature-themed events, while Entourage will use the area for off-season events to better use the 104 acre property.
“This joint venture provides us with a great opportunity to repurpose this venue and keep it active 12-months out of the year,” Steve Hark, Founder and CEO of Entourage Events Group. “Working with Camp Fire on this project is rewarding in knowing that bringing more people to the site will also help this longstanding nonprofit by making them fiscally stronger.”
Hark said he feels the wooded property, just minutes from Minneapolis, provides his company with a more diversified venue in its portfolio.
“We hope to not only have corporate events, but also school field trip events to fully utilize the site,” said Hark. “We are very excited to begin hosting events and show off this wonderful property.”
For Camp Fire Minnesota working with Entourage is another way to help strengthen its’ programing which has helped countless children at the camp for nearly 100 years. Recently Camp Fire renovated its dining hall, which now can host events like weddings and corporate gatherings when camps aren’t in session.
With the revenue generated by partnering with Entourage, Camp Fire Minnesota can ensure more children can take full advantage of its’ many nature-based programs each summer.
“Last year, we had 1,700 youth on our camp waitlist and provided $110,000 in scholarships. With this partnership we plan to increase our ability to welcome even more kids,” said Kori Redepenning, President and CEO of Camp Fire Minnesota. “With the need for accessible environment-based programs continuing to grow we are excited to work with Entourage to further help the young people we serve.”
Hark said he believes the versatility of the property will be a draw for many groups of varying sizes to explore nature minutes from downtown, while also giving back to a long-established organization like Camp Fire Minnesota. “This partnership has countless opportunities for us as an events group to provide a unique natural setting to our clients,” he said. “In the process of putting on first-rate events we are able to give greater visibility and support to the great work Camp Fire does each summer on the site.”
