Works announced today Servicon Community Service Day, its Volunteer Day for employees, families, and friends to help grow to improve communities via volunteerism.
L.A. Works is Los Angeles' premier volunteer action center. Servicon Cares has a purpose, a north star, "Helping Communities Thrive".
Servicon Community Service Day, which will involve volunteers making kits to benefit people in its communities, will take place Saturday, June 19, 2021, from 10amPT to 12pmPT, at Servicon Headquarters, 3965 Landmark Street.
The day will feature kit-making activities to benefit the community including after-school activity kits (fun, screen-free activities for students), no-sew blanket kits that help keep homeless people warm, and superhero cape kits for kids to pretend to have great powers.
Local beneficiaries will include Aviva Family and Children's Services, Para Los Ninos, Watts Empowerment Center, Friends in Deed, Hope of the Valley Rescue Mission, Midnight Mission, Good+Foundation, Heart of LA, Los Angeles Boys and Girls Club.
