“Shortening the timeline from prototyping to first unit, while minimizing operational and delivery risk is what sets us apart.” - Alan Carson, President, Envistacom

Envistacom, LLC, a leading technology enterprise which delivers advanced communications, cyber and other related services and solutions to customers in the aerospace, defense, and intelligence communities, announces the award of a task order to deliver SATCOM On The Quick Halt (SOTQH) communication systems for MRZR vehicles to specialized U.S. Army units. The systems combine terminal technology from Lite Coms and will be integrated at Envistacom’s Innovation Center.

Envistacom provided prototype test terminals for the MRZR vehicle, and will now integrate, test and deliver operational systems for deployment with active units. The concept and implementation of the SOTQH system was facilitated by the joint active military-veteran collaboration based upon collective experience acquired on active duty.

“Our entrepreneurial team has designed a custom VSAT solution in just weeks that meets the demanding packaging and survivability requirements for these special customers. The terminal integrates our newest Tactical Modem Assembly featuring the iDirect 950 Integrated Router Board,” said Bob Jacobson, President and CEO of Lite Coms. “Our reputation and history of excellent support is bringing customers like this to Lite Coms. Envistacom and Lite Coms are committed to our Customers and our Employees!”

In addition to delivering the SOTQH system, the collaborative team of Envistacom and Lite Coms are engineering an overall solution that incorporates Communications On The Move (COTM) and SOTQH capabilities, while maintaining the tactical functionality of the MRZR platform and within the transportation footprint of the CV-22. The team employed innovative solutions to obstacles presented by the global COVID-19 pandemic while maintaining the safety of their number one asset, the contractor and military personnel.

“Shortening the timeline from prototyping to first unit, while minimizing operational and delivery risk is what sets us apart,” said Alan Carson, Envistacom’s President. “Our engineering and business development team is largely staffed by veterans who know how to use their operational experience to add value to every solution we deliver.”
