ERQ v2.5.0 Expands upon Reporting Capabilities, Command Generation, and Security for Complete RACF Administration

Known as "Easy RACF Query", ERQ is a tool designed to simplify the RACF administration process. As an affordable, user-friendly RACF reporting and admin tool, ERQ's programming service component allows users to easily and quickly write custom provisioning or reporting applications in REXX or CLIST, for processes unique to user's environments.

ERQ provides users with a robust solution that provides online and programming services for custom security administration, reporting, and RACF application writing.

New additions to ERQ include developments to cryptography by providing certificate reporting for the DIGTCERT, DIGTRING and DIGTNMAP classes at both the user and resource levels, allowing users to manage digital certificate reporting conveniently using ERQ. Users can also generate RACF commands to maintain the information in these classes.

Multi-factor authentication reports at the user and resource levels have also been added to ERQ, adding an additional level of safekeeping to the tool's data security capabilities. Additional reporting capabilities were also added in the form of new RACF ICB (Inventory Control Block) reports to list option and class settings as well as RACF DB stats (counters, templates, etc.) for current and historical data. This feature also offers reports to identify option/class changes to a user's RACF DB. Distributed Identity reporting was also added at the user and resource levels. This identity propagation will provide users with additional options for auditing and reporting within the z/OS environment.

The tool's Class Profile Summary Report has been updated to include current settings for each class (eg. RACLIST, GENLIST, etc), providing users with a more detailed report for each class.
The new functionality of PRNT/SAVE commands adds additional flexibility to the tool. These two commands can direct any form of output (eg. ERQ reports or LIST commands) to a printer and/or a file, allowing for flexibility in the handling of reports.

ERQ is also compatible with all recent releases of z/OS, including z/OS 2.4.
