For over 25 years, Solomon has been one of Canada's pre-eminent journalists, most recently as the host of both CTV News Channel's benchmark nightly political program "Power Play" and of the most watched political TV show in Canada, the Sunday morning program "Question Period." He was also the host of the iHeartRadio/Bell Media daily nationally syndicated radio program "The Evan Solomon Show."
Solomon has a long history of building brands and creating programs, starting as the co-founder of the pioneering Shift Magazine, an international magazine about digital culture, and as the founder of the Sirius XM show and podcast "Everything is Political." Solomon has also hosted the PBS series "Masters of Technology" and CBC shows such as "Power and Politics," "CBC News: Sunday," "The House," and "FutureWorld". He has reported on events around the world from places such as Europe, Asia and Iran, and has interviewed key political figures from prime ministers and presidents to the Dalai Lama.
The Canadian Screen award-winning Solomon has written and edited five best-selling books, including "Fueling the Future: How the Battle Over Energy is Changing Everything" and "Feeding the Future: From Fat to Famine, How to Solve the World's Food Crisis." He has been a columnist for Macleans Magazine and the Globe and Mail.
