Connections to Contracts from the Women's Business Council – Southwest will be held on April 12th
IRVING, Texas, April 6, 2022 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- The Women's Business Council – Southwest (WBCS), is excited to bring back its largest procurement-focused event, Connections to Contracts, in-person on April 12th at the Irving Convention Center. The event will feature networking, corporate "roundtable" procurement discussions, a c-suite executive keynote address, construction and IT industry insights sessions, and success stories from women business owners in the corporate, consumer packaged goods, and government areas.
For the corporate "roundtable" discussions, over 30 major corporations and government entities will be in attendance including major sponsors, DFW International Airport, Toyota, Oncor, and Vistra. This is an opportunity for women business owners to meet directly with a company's representative to learn how to do business with both corporations and government entities.
"This event is designed to connect women-owned businesses with corporate and government supply chain opportunities," explains Bliss Coulter, President & CEO of Women's Business Council - Southwest. "Every day, deals are done within our network whether with corporations and government entities or with other women-owned businesses. This is the ideal event for women business owners to network and get access to those business opportunities."
This year's keynote speaker is Michelle Gill, VP of Merchandising at The Container Store. Attendees will hear her insights on how women-owned businesses can stand out to supplier diversity representatives, and how she was able to differentiate herself as a female leader throughout her career. Prior to joining The Container Store, she spent more than 25 years at Neiman Marcus in both merchandising and ecommerce leadership positions.
For women-owned businesses looking to do business with corporations and government entities, this event is not to be missed.
