AMSTERDAM, April 9, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- With the continuing success of the Everynet Everywhere Neutral- Host business model and concurrent roll-out of multiple national networks, Everynet has shifted its focus from pilots to a full-scale operational phase supported by rapid subscriber growth. The Everynet platform is already proven at massive scale, surpassing a billion messages annually, so the shift of focus is away from technology and now towards customer engagement.
Tom joins Everynet from Cisco's IoT Cloud business unit, which acquired Jasper in 2016 for $1.4B, enabling mobile operators with a SaaS IoT connectivity management platform. Tom's role as Head of Global Go-To-Market (GTM) IoT Cloud, supported Jasper's hyper-growth and his experience perfectly aligns with the expanding business at Everynet. Prior to Jasper/Cisco, Tom was Director of Marketing for Global Wholesale and Emerging Solutions for Sprint, and held many other leadership roles in Strategic Alliance Management, Sales & Marketing.
"As our business continues to rapidly grow, we have moved from the pilots into becoming the largest LoRaWAN network operator in the world, we saw the need for a dedicated role to drive the onboarding of new national networks", says Lawrence Latham, Everynet CEO. "Tom's experience is perfectly aligned with our needs as Tom was the Global Head of Go To Market for Jasper, which enjoyed exponential growth as a result of their successful onboarding program. Tom is also a perfect cultural fit for Everynet as he has a deep understanding of what really drives IoT adoption and he is all about partner and customer success. We couldn't be more pleased that he joined our team"
LoRaWAN technology allows billions of low-cost 'things' to interact with the internet at long range and at power levels so low that they can operate autonomously for 10 years on a single battery charge. Typical applications of the technology include asset tracking, logistics optimization, utilities (smart grid, water management, and metering), precision agriculture, and many more.
"IoT is a game-changer, and LoRaWAN is enabling adoption at massive scale in numerous verticals across the globe," says Tom Nelson. "This ubiquitous low-cost LoRaWAN connectivity leads to numerous benefits including greener energy, smarter cities, and a more efficient use of resources".
Through the first engagements with the Everynet Everywhere wholesale business model, Everynet has reviewed, learned and fine-tuned its Go-To-Market strategy to be able to rapidly engage and deploy new national 'neutral-host' radio access networks with in-country partners. Multiple wholesale operators are then able to run their own secure network with no CAPEX, minimal OPEX, a turn-key ecosystem, and shortest time-to-revenue. This allows operators to focus on customer engagement and value-added services for the broad spectrum of IoT use-cases with much higher margins and profitability.
