eVigilo Signs US$5M Deal with Israeli Civil Protection
Netanya, Israel (PRWEB) February 10, 2014 -- In view of the threats the state of Israel is facing through man-made disasters as well as natural disasters like earthquakes, Tsunamis, floods and fires, the Home Front Command, Israel’s Civil Protection has decided to leverage its alert and information dissemination capabilities including those of the civilian organizations. To stand up to the challenge, the Home Front Command initiated the “National Message” project and selected eVigilo SMART for Governments as the core element to distribute the alerts and notifications to the public during emergency and daily routine.
The main objective of the “National Message” project is to deliver alerts and notifications to the public across all available channels like: TV, radio, sirens, Internet, paging, billboards and mobile phones, notifying only those in the disaster area, thus reducing unnecessary panic. eVigilo SMART for Governments provides single point of entry to all alert initiators – sensors and different organizations (Police, Fire department, Civil Protection etc.).
