Evinrude Donates Engines to the Coastal Conservation Association
STURTEVANT, Wis. (PRWEB) May 09, 2018 -- Evinrude, a leading outboard engine manufacturer, today announced their continued partnership with the Coastal Conservation Association (CCA) Texas and a donation of outboard engines to promote sustainability and conservation in the region.

CCA Texas, founded in 1977, is a non-profit organization based in Houston, Texas, specializing in coastal and marine conservation practices. It is the largest conservation group of its kind with an unmatched and enthusiastic volunteer involvement committed to educating others on the importance of coastal and marine conservation.

Since inventing the outboard engines 109 years ago, Evinrude has been at the forefront of environmentally friendly and sustainable innovation. They have invested in methods to conserve water and minimize process waste through projects such as a closed-loop water system to test and validate new outboard engine designs. Evinrude’s on-site wastewater treatment system facility received an Earth Day Award from the Wisconsin Sustainable Business Council. They were also recently inducted into Wisconsin’s Green Masters Program for environmentally friendly businesses.
Evinrude has also donated several outboard engines to the University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee’s School of Freshwater Sciences, the only school of its kind focused on the study of freshwater systems. In addition, Evinrude launched two annual water research and conservation fellowships to support tuition funds for graduate students conducting conservation research.
The Evinrude engines will be presented to CCA at the conclusion of the annual STAR Tournament.
