In this role, Dr. Smith will lead the firm's organic growth initiatives and strategic solutions throughout the business development lifecycle.
Dr. Smith's industry leadership spans more than 25 years across engineering, management consulting, business development, capture and proposal management disciplines for both products and services firms. Most recently, Smith led management consultant Alpha Omega Group's Business Development organization where he was instrumental in winning new business that increased revenues by more than 50%. Previously, he established a winning reputation for significant captures at large defense contractors. Dr. Smith began his career in the US Navy Reserves and as a technologist at Texas Instruments.

A lifelong learner, Dr. Smith obtained a PhD in Organization and Management-Information Technology Management from Capella University, a MS in Computer Information Systems and BS in Business Administration from the University of Phoenix and PMP certification from the Project Management Institute. He continues to serve the engineering community by teaching postgraduate Systems Engineering courses at the University of Texas at El Paso.
