Dr. Thompson specializes in the use of Neurological and Physiological testing and training techniques for assessment and active care in rehabilitation and performance enhancement. Dr. Thompson has also specializes in the field of sport related concussions and biofeedback.
His doctorate work focused on the development and implementation of multi-modal assessment methods for concussions in athletes and he has worked closely with many high level athletes on peak performance training including the Penn State ‘Nittany Lions” football, hockey and rugby programs, Canadian Junior alpine skiers, the Japanese Youth Curling Team, and multiple sailing teams. He has provided EEG consultation to the scientific coordinator of the UEFA (Union of European Football Associations) 2007 League Champions and the Sport Science team at England’s Chelsea Football Club.
Dr. Thompson is presenting on the “Think, Think, Think - Cognitive Gaming Platforms” panel which is taking place on Thursday, May 8 at 11:00 a.m. PST.
