Executive New Hires and Promotions Announced at National Guardian Life Insurance Company

MADISON, Wis., July 10, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- National Guardian Life Insurance Company (NGL), a Madison-based mutual life insurance company is pleased to announce a number of executive changes.

Recently joining NGL include Dave Anderson, Executive Vice President & Chief Operating Officer and Joe Guyotte, National Sales Manager – Individual Markets. Recent promotions include Andrea Rouleau, Assistant Vice President & Pricing Actuary and Greg Vertelka, Vice President, Information Technology.

Dave Anderson brings more than 30 years of financial services and technology expertise to NGL in the role of Executive Vice President & Chief Operating Officer. Anderson will oversee the Policy Administration, Information Systems Technology and Project Management areas. Prior to joining NGL, Anderson served as President and CEO of InsPro Technologies, a leading provider of policy administration software to the insurance industry. From 2010 to 2016, Anderson worked at TIAA where he served as President and CEO of TIAA Life, a wholly-owned subsidiary of TIAA. During this time, TIAA Life experienced record premium growth. Prior to TIAA, Anderson held numerous senior posts during a 27-year tenure at Thrivent Financial.

Anderson received his MBA from Northwestern University-Kellogg School of Management and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration from Concordia College. He serves on the Advisory Board of the McColl School of Business at Queens University in Charlotte, NC, where he has also been an Adjunct Professor.

Joe Guyotte joined the Specialty Insurance Markets team as National Sales Manager – Individual Markets. Guyotte will focus on developing and implementing marketing plans with current and potential marketing organizations. He will also be working with agents for NGL's individual products lines of business, including EssentialLTC (Long Term Care insurance) and Medicare Supplement.

Most recently Guyotte was Vice President of National Accounts at Genworth Life Insurance Company where he led the business development activities for many of the nation's largest insurance distributors. Additionally, he held the role of Regional Vice President of Sales for Genworth, GE Financial and AIG/American General Life Insurance, wholesaling insurance products to brokerage general agencies throughout the United States. In his various roles he achieved increased year over year product sales and revenue growth.

Guyotte holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and Public Policy from Plymouth State University. He has achieved CLU and ChFC financial certifications from the American College, completed the Certified Financial Planner Certificate from The College of Financial Planning at Northeastern University in Boston and holds the CLTC Certificate from the Corporation for Long Term Care Certification.

Andrea Rouleau has been promoted to Assistant Vice President & Pricing Actuary. In this role Rouleau oversees all new product pricing, product development, and in force management. Rouleau joined NGL in 2011.

Greg Vertelka has been promoted to Vice President, Information Technology. In his new role Vertelka is responsible for leading the overall strategic and tactical aspects of information technology for NGL. Vertelka is a technology and business leader with more than 25 years of experience utilizing technology to create a competitive edge for business. Vertelka has in-depth knowledge of all areas of information technology spanning infrastructure, program management and methodologies, application development and support, technology and business strategy alignment. In addition to spending the majority of his career in large multi-national organizations, including General Electric and Johnson Controls, he has helped grow smaller organizations into larger players in their markets. Vertelka joined NGL in 2018.
