Industry Leaders Share How Verified by GS1 and a Data Quality Focus Helps Them Stay Competitive and Better Serve Consumers

GS1 US will host a free Webinar titled “Verified by GS1: Perspectives from Supply and Demand Side,” featuring a panel discussion about the demand for validated product information and the role of Verified by GS1 to achieve higher levels of data quality. Verified by GS1 is a solution developed in collaboration with industry stakeholders around the world that can help retailers and marketplaces receive brand-verified product data and better respond to consumer demands for product information transparency.

WHO: Debbie Magers, vice president, global data, analytics and governance, Kellogg Company and Mark Quertinmont, director, corporate data integrity, The Kroger Company join James Chronowski, vice president of data quality, GS1 US for a panel discussion.

WHAT: The panelists will share how enhancing the flow and quality of product data supports improved inventory management and the consumer’s path to purchase.

  • How Verified by GS1 helps brand owners consistently share a core set of product attributes, including: the product’s Global Trade Item Number® (GTIN®) a number that uniquely identifies a product and links it to the brand owner, brand name, product description, product image URL, global product category, net content and unit of measure, and country of sale.
  • How this set of product attributes confirms that a product’s physical features align with their digital product listings.
  • A renewed urgency for creating and exchanging clean product information, as data quality plays a key foundational role in accelerated digital transformation and meeting today’s consumer demands.
