Experienced Kansas City General Counsel Launches Boutique Law Firm
KANSAS CITY, Mo. (PRWEB) May 01, 2019 -- Corporate law veteran Derek Feagans, announced today the launch of a new boutique law firm, Feagans LLC, providing a full range of business legal services including general counsel, corporate, real estate, and sports and entertainment.
“Having spent 10 years in Big Law, and 10 years as a general counsel I appreciate companies’ need for high-level general counsel services at a value,” Feagans said. “I decided to launch this firm to be a partner to individuals and companies and provide them with an experienced legal department that works more efficiently – so they can get Big Law counsel without the associated large fees.”
Feagans has 20 years of experience practicing in the corporate law departments of national and international AmLaw 200 firms and as general counsel for companies in a wide variety of industries. Feagans was most recently the general counsel for an international pharmaceutical compliance services company, ProPharma Group. He also served as general counsel in a variety of industries including powerhouse advertising agency Bernstein-Rein Advertising, Beauty Brands Inc., a boutique investment banking firm, real estate holding companies, and as an independent legal consultant for Cerner Corporation.
Feagans also has extensive experience in the sports and entertainment industry, representing athletes, coaches and SAG-AFTRA talent in all facets of their careers. Being a collegiate athlete himself, Feagans is able to leverage his personal experiences to provide valuable perspective to these clients and better understand their needs.
