ATLANTA, Sept. 18, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Village Podiatry Group, the largest podiatric medicine and surgery practice in Georgia, is partnering with the Emory Healthcare Network and with Emory's Orthopaedics & Spine Center in an effort to broaden patient access to podiatric care. "We are very pleased to partner with Emory Healthcare whose prestigious academic institution is known throughout the country," says David N. Helfman, DPM, FACFAS, CEO, Chairman of Extremity Healthcare, Inc., the owner of Village Podiatry Group. "Emory's partnership evaluation process was quite extensive, and it was a pleasure working with their chief of orthopaedics, Scott D. Boden, MD, and their entire management team."
By working on collaborative efforts with the Emory's Department of Orthopaedics, as well as other specialties within the Emory Healthcare Network, we can better integrate podiatric physicians and surgeons into patient care. In addition, this partnership will provide seamless access for Village Podiatry patients into Emory Orthopaedics and the rest of Emory Healthcare as needed. This also opens the opportunity to collaborate around clinical research to determine the optimal treatment for various conditions.
The partnership between Village Podiatry and the Emory Healthcare Network is expected to lead to better outcomes for our patients and offer access to the full spectrum of musculoskeletal care provided by one of the most trusted brands in Atlanta. This type of relationship will only strengthen our profession and will showcase our education, training and experience.
The Emory Healthcare Network is a clinically integrated network formed in 2011 to improve care coordination and quality outcomes, as well as control costs for patients and the community.
