Bounties for iOS and Android added to the existing web browser program
SUMMERLIN, Nev., Jan. 31, 2023 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- FaceTec has announced today that it has increased its Spoof Bounty program total from $200,000 to $600,000. Launched in October 2019, the world's only bounty program for human Liveness Detection continues to set the highest bar in biometric security.
The FaceTec Spoof Bounty Program is incentivized, public, ongoing, white-hat security testing that provides proof that FaceTec's 3D Liveness software is secure in real-world use cases, not just in the lab or classroom. Similar to a software bug bounty program, if a tester can find a spoof or camera bypass that fools the system, they are rewarded with a large monetary payout. Through this process, FaceTec learns about any potential vulnerabilities, and if one is found can work to quickly mitigate it.

The comprehensive FaceTec Spoof Bounty program comprises five levels on the Threat Vector Scale and has now added iOS and Android bounties equivalent to the web browser bounties:
Spoof Artifacts:
Level 1 - Hi-res paper and digital photos, hi-def challenge/response videos, and paper masks.
Level 2 - Commercially available lifelike dolls and human-worn resin, latex, and silicone 3D masks costing less than $300.
Level 3 - Custom-made ultra-realistic 3D masks, wax heads, etc., up to $3,000 in creation cost.
Camera Bypasses:
Level 4 - Decrypt & edit the contents of a 3D FaceMap™ to contain synthetic data not collected from the session, and have the server process and respond with Liveness Success.
Level 5 - Successfully take over the camera feed & inject previously captured frames that result in the server responding with Liveness Success.
