The end of the year is always a great time for reflection. This year, MaintenX International, one of the nation’s largest providers of self-performing facility maintenance, has much to celebrate. From business growth to community involvement, there have been many important milestones that were achieved in 2019.

“Each year for more than 40 years we’ve had something to celebrate,” said Bill Schaphorst, VP of Business Development at MaintenX. “This year is certainly no different.”

2019 brought tremendous growth for MaintenX. The company added their waterproofing division to help support customer needs, and dozens of new employees from coast to coast. They also launched a redesigned website with easier navigation, brighter colors and the latest news and information to improve the customer experience.

Record-setting growth in MaintenX’s customer base helped ensure the success of a new Southern California office. The San Diego office will allow for continued growth in the Western US market and features parking and warehouse space for storing equipment, generators and vehicles when not in use.

MaintenX also spent 2019 giving back to the community. MaintenX sponsored and dedicated their first Habitat for Humanity home and announced the sponsorship of a second home in 2020. There were numerous charity-support events, including the Treasure Chests 5k in support of breast cancer research, school repairs in Puerto Rico, and the sponsorship of 140 Salvation Army “Angel Tree” kids.

Schaphorst noted that giving back to the community is part of the corporate culture at MaintenX. The company is also committed to creating a positive culture for team members across the country.

“Our commitment to our colleagues and communities is at the heart of all that MaintenX does,” said Schaphorst. “We believe in giving back to the people and places that give so much to us.”

MaintenX knows that treating team members well helps boost service and morale. This year, MaintenX service team members enjoyed benefits like paid vacations and personal days, medical, dental and vision insurance, 401(k) retirement plans with a five percent company match and immediate vesting, as well as unique onsite perks like sponsored lunches, car wash days, and a fully-equipped gym.

MaintenX has been providing best-in-class facility maintenance and repair services to retail stores, restaurant chains and Fortune 500 companies across the nation for more than 40 years. With a focus on positive client experiences, MaintenX supports their staff and technicians to consistently exceeded customer’s expectations in 2019 - and well into the next decade.
