Xulon Press presents an inspirational memoir demonstrating a very special, "Only Today" approach to living with ALS.
SIOUX FALLS, S.D., April 25, 2023 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Author Renae Green shares her sister's powerful personal story with readers in Only Today: Finding Hope and Joy While Living With ALS ($22.49, paperback, 9781662876448; $9.99, e-book, 9781662876455).
Green always considered her older sister, Michelle, her hero. As she watched her face the most devastating, debilitating diagnosis of ALS, she gained an even more thorough understanding of what a warrior and faith-filled woman she was. Dan, Michelle's beloved husband, asked Green to write about her sister's remarkable journey and share her story with the world as a way to bring hope to the hopeless, light to the darkness, and inspiration to those suffering.
An inspiration to all who knew her and all who will read this book, Michelle chose to live "Only Today" and reassign the ALS acronym to write "A Love Story" that epitomized all she learned through her illness. This book is a wonderful tribute to the author's sister in addition to providing a much needed guide (tips and suggestions) for caregivers. It will certainly be appreciated by anyone diagnosed with ALS or other terminal diseases, their family, friends and caretakers. To make a special book even more special, all of the book's proceeds will go to ALS in the Heartland.
When asked what inspired the author to write this book, Green said, "Watching how my sister chose to live with ALS affected not only myself, but all who knew her. We learned lessons of perseverance, endurance, and how to place complete trust in God, even when life presents you with the hardest trials of your life."
Renae Green is a preschool teacher in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. She is a wife, mother of six, and grandmother to eleven beautiful grandchildren. Green is also the author of Your Life a Masterpiece in the Making: A Puzzle Designed by God and Assembled by You. She loves spending time with family and preschool children. She also enjoys the outdoors, camping, writing, watching sunrises and sunsets, waking early, and taking long walks.
