Family Business Grows, Helps Local Economy
Dayton, OH (PRWEB) January 28, 2014 -- Zatkoff Seals & Packings, a family owned business, has recently completed construction on their newest building in Dayton, Ohio. With this distribution facility, the company will be able to employ an additional order fulfillment and shipping crew, growing their operation to 8 buildings in total and reducing the area’s unemployment numbers.
This latest expansion includes a 9,000 sq. ft. warehouse, which provided additional opportunities for another family owned business. Michigan-based Shelving Incorporated was able to design and install a three level mezzanine shelving system for full use of all overhead space. It only took five weeks to outfit the distribution center with all the necessary racking. According to Jim Aiello, partner at Shelving Inc., “Zatkoff aims for consistency throughout their locations, so we were able to create an efficient workflow for their newest location.”
Thanks to the contract with Zatkoff, Shelving Inc. will be able to make a larger investment in company growth, along with a larger donation to the Capuchin Soup Kitchen. Each year, 10 percent of the corporate profits are given directly to the Detroit-based charity.
