James’ first spoken word album will give fans and listeners the opportunity to dive deeper into the world of the Detroit-based Author and Philanthropist, as he delves into themes ranging from his childhood in Downriver, Michigan to lessons learned after a lifetime starting and running businesses, employing people, and mentoring the next generation.
“I have always appreciated spoken word as an art form,” explains James. “As a long-time fan of hip-hop and rap, poetry and spoken word are forms of literature that allow me to express myself in a way that is lyrically-inspired yet comfortable.”
