Canipe, an Atlanta, Georgia based writer, has completed his new book “Dream: A Surreal and Psychedelic Gay Romance”: a combination coming-of-age fantasy story with real world roots as his protagonist, Dante Jackson, faces a series of challenges that arise around his eighteenth birthday. After years of suppressing painful memories, Dante realizes that his abusive step-mother is actually an evil witch in disguise and Dante is thrusted into an expedition of self-discovery as he must relive forgotten moments of his life.

“As a kid, I was inspired by fantasy, diving into my imagination, drawing mermaids, faeries, and dragons,” D.C. After years of drawing, I began writing stories about these magical characters between classes in high school.”
