This year, GreaterGood has donated over $1.3 million in products to GreaterGood.org to help those in need, including disaster relief and other causes.
SEATTLE (PRWEB) November 27, 2018
GreaterGood announced today the launch of the 2018 holiday campaign, Give Greatly, which offers a range of online opportunities to make giving to those in need as easy as it is important this holiday season. GreaterGood and non-profit partner GreaterGood.org strive to fund meals for people and animals in need, including victims of the California wild fires; to provide critical transportation to life-saving treatment for cancer patients; to provide housing to homeless veterans and their pets; to preserve acres of wild habitat and more causes.
“We focus on making a positive impact year-round; it’s who we are,” said GreaterGood CEO David Samuelson. “But the holidays bring a special opportunity to do more—and to have it mean more. We want to remind people of our ongoing giving commitment, and we have developed some new giving opportunities, so that together we can make a real difference for people, pets, and the planet.”
GreaterGood’s Give Greatly campaign offers four options for shoppers, visitors and donors to help provide support for critical programs:
Shop Where It Matters ™
Every day, at any of the ten GreaterGood stores, shoppers have the opportunity to buy gifts, apparel, jewelry, home goods, and more, and each purchase gives back with a donation—free to shopper—to help a charitable cause.
This holiday season, GreaterGood has increased the giving value in the GreaterGood stores with a unique take on the popular BOGO (buy-one-get-one free) promotion: BOGOGO or buy-one-get-one-give-one free. During this special promotion, shoppers not only get a free item, but also automatically give one item free to help people or pets in need. For each order during the promotional period that contains the special promotion code, an item will be donated to causes where it is needed most. This year, GreaterGood has donated over $1.3 million in products to GreaterGood.org to help those in need, including disaster relief and other causes.
Give Greatly, Live
Giving the GreaterGood way includes a series of Facebook Live Events kicking off on Friday, November 30th on The Animal Rescue Site Facebook page. During this event, viewers will learn about ways to help add extra meaning to gift-giving this holiday season at The Animal Rescue Site store, which benefits shelter animals by funding food with every purchase. Viewers will also have access to special giveaways.
Click Where It Matters
The power of GreaterGood’s click-to-give model takes on extra meaning during the holidays. Within a few seconds, visitors to TheAnimalRescueSite.com, TheHungerSite.com, TheBreastCancerSite.com, TheRainforestSite.com, and others in GreaterGood’s family of charitable sites can tap or click a button to trigger a free donation to an important cause. Visitors can affect positive change by making ordinary online actions extraordinary.
Give Where It Matters ™
"We are proud to be a part of the GreaterGood community of shoppers, clickers, and donors who have a passion for doing good," said Liz Baker, CEO of GreaterGood.org. "On Giving Tuesday--a global day dedicated to giving back—your support is critical to help us fund these important and impactful projects. Making a tax-deductible donation on the GreaterGood.com websites is an amazing way to ensure 100% of your gift makes it to the cause you choose."
GreaterGood.org is focused on six unique projects this #GivingTuesday:
· Fund 5,000 meals for those in need, including those displaced by the recent California Wildfires.
· Fund 10 flights for cancer patients, providing a cost-free way for them to travel to their far-away yet vital treatments.
· Fund a year of education for 10 girls in the Philippines, having a lasting impact on their lives and their community.
· Protect 1,000 acres of habitat for endangered species; 60% of the worlds' mammals, birds, fish and reptiles has been wiped out since 1970 according to a major report produced recently by WWF.
· Build pet-friendly housing for homeless veterans and the companion animals on which they rely this holiday season.
· Provide 6 million meals for shelter and rescue pets across the US, including those affected by the recent California Wildfires.
When someone donates to any of these projects through a GreaterGood store, 100% of their donation goes to the cause— no transaction fee is deducted. These giving opportunities are just some of the Gifts That Give More ™ available in the GreaterGood stores. Each makes a great no-ship, meaningful gift.
In December, GreaterGood will also support the donation of tens of thousands of meals to shelter animals in the Seattle, Washington area. This direct donation will be accompanied by an in-kind donation of products for pets and people.
