FastSpring, a full-service ecommerce partner for software and SaaS companies, today announced that Zia Zahiri has joined as Chief Technology Officer (CTO). Zahiri will be responsible for leading the technology strategy and development team and will work closely with the company's product team to drive product speed to market. Zahiri brings two decades of experience at highly successful technology companies and has held the CTO role at four previous companies.
“Zia has an incredibly strong track record as a technology leader and has been able to translate customer and market needs into impactful products and solutions. I couldn’t be more thrilled to have Zia on board to drive our technology strategy and evolve our product for new markets,” said David Nachman, CEO, FastSpring.
Zahiri earned Master’s degrees in Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, and Computer Science and spent almost a decade at IBM. Since then, Zahiri has held senior leadership roles at multiple high-growth technology companies. Zahiri’s most recent CTO role was with Jaggaer, an Accel-KKR backed company, which grew dramatically under his leadership to $250 million in revenue prior to its sale last year. During his time at Jaggaer, Zahiri successfully integrated five acquisitions.
Zahiri also has a successful track record as an entrepreneur, having co-founded iTradeNetwork in 2000, a pioneering supply chain solution for the food services industry that was one of the earliest B2B SaaS companies. iTradeNetwork grew to $90 million in revenue under Zia’s technical and product leadership.
"I am very excited to be part of a very innovative team at FastSpring. My experiences are perfectly timed with the direction of FastSpring’s commerce platform as we are working to innovate beyond payment processing, build strong relationships with our clients, and deliver value to consumers worldwide,” said Zia Zahiri, CTO, FastSpring. “Over the last 20 years, I realized the only way to deliver value is to truly understand your customers’ needs and help them achieve their goals.
