SANTA BARBARA, Calif. (PRWEB) February 07, 2019
FastSpring, a full-service ecommerce solution for software companies, today announced the promotion of Andrea Nelson, who is now Vice President of People and Culture at FastSpring. This comes at the same time as Nelson’s appointment of President of Santa Barbara’s Human Resources Association.
As Vice President of People and Culture at FastSpring, Nelson will be responsible for the strategic human resource (HR) planning to provide the organization with the best talent available, and to position the company as the employer of choice by directing all people functions in accordance with policies, practices, and trends within the tech industry. With more than 18 years in the HR profession, she has a track record for helping technology startups find their competitive advantages by aligning business strategy with people and culture.
“We’re thrilled to have Andrea lead and innovate our people and culture program,” said Chris Lueck, CEO at FastSpring. “Her passion for developing internal structure and processes while understanding and maintaining FastSpring’s company culture will be essential to fuel our next phase of rapid growth.”
This is also in conjunction with Nelson’s recent presidency of the Santa Barbara’s Human Resources Association, where she’ll help bring programs that serve the HR community in Santa Barbara and along the central coast. The programs are SHRM and HRCI certified; they include legislative updates and advocacy on crucial labor issues.
In 2016, Andrea received the highest-level certification, Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) from the Human Resources Certification Institute (HRCI). Andrea is an active member of the Society of Human Resources Management (SHRM) and participates in SHRM advocacy. She recently participated in a meeting with lawmakers on Capitol Hill regarding pending workplace legislation that directly affects HR professionals.
“FastSpring is on the cutting edge of ecommerce technology and possesses great talent in fields spanning from engineering, research, customer support, and design,” said Andrea Nelson, Vice President of People and Culture at FastSpring. “I look forward to working with and mentoring our talented employees as we are on track to support thousands of new customers every year.”
