ALEXANDRIA, Va., Mar. 10, 2021 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Federal Conference provided virtual event production support to Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Washington's annual marquee event, "Youth in (Virtual) Real Estate Event" held on October 6, 2020. The event brought Washington, DC area real estate Leaders together to raise awareness as well as money to support DC-area youth. This year's event focused on the challenges facing individuals that are impacted by COVID-19 and on ways to continue supporting our youth during the ongoing global pandemic.
"Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Washington (BGCGW) serves over 21,000 youth ages 5-18 over a 75 square mile radius. COVID-19 presented the organization with many challenges and cancelling events like the Youth in Real Estate luncheon was not possible," said Marya Kawmy, Senior Manager of Corporate Giving, Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Washington. "It is too important for our organization and the youth of our region. We selected Federal Conference because of the considerable expertise they have in production and virtual platforms", she continued.
Terri Johnson, Director of Special Events, Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Washington stated, "Having Federal Conference manage the production piece of our event allowed us to focus on our messaging and our guest experience. With the decision to go virtual we were not sure how it would all work out. The result was a high-quality program that exceeded our expectations. Federal Conference's Production Services team made the format transition easy and less stressful. This was definitely welcomed during this highly uncertain period." Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Washington successfully raised over $1,000,000 during this year's event, exceeding the organization's expectation that revenues might be lower due to the pandemic.
"I'm excited that our team was able to support the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Washington with delivering such a tremendously successful event," says Keith Kruse, President & COO of Federal Conference. "Part of what we have done for our customers during these challenging times is to help them evaluate their options and make the difficult decision to transition their major in-person programs to virtual or hybrid. For many of the non-profit associations we support, these meetings and events are important fundraisers for the organization and critical to their financial performance for the year," Kruse goes on to say. "The support we provide to them has a big impact on their bottom line."
Federal Conference currently works with non-profits, associations and corporations around the world to support their unique missions by bringing people together virtually. Supporting the client's goals to pivot to a virtual environment has become a cornerstone of services and helping individuals improve and grow.
